Dear AWWA NJ Members,
AWWA NJ Board of Trustees has decided to tentatively reschedule the
AWWA NJ Annual Conference for July 7-10, 2020 at the Borgata Hotel,
Casino and Spa.
are very cognizant that the situation with the COVID-19 outbreak is
continually evolving, and we will continue to monitor and assess the
situation regularly in the coming months. We will continue to follow federal, CDC, and state and local guidelines. It is our intention to reschedule this conference for July 7 – 10, 2020. We
will continue to monitor the virus situation and remain in contact with
The Borgata on a frequent basis throughout the coming weeks and months.
We will make a final determination if the conference would need to be
cancelled again by the beginning of June. However, our foremost concern
is the health and safety of our members, which will be the deciding
factor regarding cancellation.
We are also aware
that due to limited rescheduling dates available for AWWA Sections with
spring conferences, we may be in conflict with neighboring AWWA
Sections. We understand that this is not an ideal situation and
apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our valued members and
exhibitors. However, this is the only date available to us from The
hosting the same conference, just in July. We are working with the
conference venue and our other conference affiliates to ensure the
process of moving the Annual Conference to July goes as smoothly as
possible. More details about these efforts will be related via email and posted on the AWWA NJ website as they become available.
We want to
thank all of our exhibitors and registrants for their patience and
support as we work to transition the conference and respond to your
AWWA NJ’s 2020

will do everything we can to provide the same valuable conference this

We will provide more information as it becomes available and will post information on our website at www.njawwa.org. Answers to some of the questions you may have are listed below:
If you have
already registered for the AWWA NJ conference, your registration will be
automatically transferred to the new dates – there will be no need to
reregister. If you can no longer attend on the new dates, we will
provide a full refund of the cost of your registration. If you
previously canceled your registration and would like to reinstate it for
the new dates, or you need to make changes to your registration level
or options, we will be able to process that for you. If you need a
refund or change, we will need you to provide it in writing. Please send
all requests to email@example.com.

floorplan will remain the same and you will keep the same booth
number(s). If you can no longer exhibit on the new dates, we will
provide a full refund for your booth(s) and badges/tickets (if
applicable). If you will not be able to attend, we will need you to

Hotel reservations within the AWWA NJ room block at The Borgata were automatically cancelled this past Friday, March 13th. You
will need to rebook your rooms for the rescheduled conference dates. As
soon as we have information from The Borgata about the block opening
again, we will notify you so you can rebook your room(s).
