Non-Denominational Group

Since 2001, AWWA NJ has hosted a non-denominational prayer breakfast at the Annual Conference. Sometimes referred to as the "Interfaith Breakfast," the event is held on Thursday morning of the Conference and is open to all.

This is a gathering of folks who wish to share situations and support for each other in non-technical (usually) discussions. There is no push, evangelism or structure for any specific church or religion -- this is simply an opportunity to gather and share thoughts, wisdoms, questions, and feelings among a comfortable group of peers who support one another, regardless of faiths or beliefs - or lack thereof.

The group is not an official committee of the Section - but rather is led collectively by a group inspired to keep the meetings going monthly, by providing topics of inspiration and/or sharing stories that make a difference in our lives. In order to facilitate discussions, a person is typically asked to volunteer to lead a topic for the gathering, sharing anywhere from 5-15 minutes about a subject that is important to them.

Since in-person events were halted during the COVID-19 pandemic, the non-denominational prayer breakfast group began to meet once a month via Zoom. This is an informal gathering of members and guests that enjoy regular sharing and discussion of spiritual and philosophical topics for the benefit of all.

Gatherings are scheduled on the 3rd Friday of each month, from 8:00 - 9:00 am, via Zoom.  Anyone curious or interested in participating is encouraged to join and try it out. To learn more and get the Zoom link, contact the Section Office at 866-436-1120, or email mona@njawwa.org.

Upcoming non-denominational prayer breakfast gatherings are listed on our Section Calendar of Events
