Teachers
note: the first 100 classrooms that register with the New Jersey AWWA Water Zone will
receive free instructional materials concerning water for their class.
Descriptions of Educational Materials- Grades K-3: The K-3 package includes 30 copies of the Splash Activity Book and a copy of Water Magic. Splash includes a variety of water-related word and number games and Water Magic is an innovatice teacher's resource detailing 23 hands-on educational and lively water activities designed to stimulate young minds.
- Grades 4-6: The 4-6 package includes 30 copies of the Story of Drinking Water and
a copy of Story of Drinking Water Teacher's Guide. Kids will learn about the
natural water cycle, including where water is found and how water is treated
and distributed to the public. The Teacher's Guide complements the kid's
booklet and is filled with background information, classroom activities, student
work sheets, and easy-to-perform classroom exercises on various ddrinking water
topics.
- Grades 7 and up: Three, two-sided posters help kids learn about water with these
colorful posters that illustrate basic water processes : Water System,
Treatment Plant, Water Cycle, Wise Use of Water, Groundwater, and Water
Careers.
